Waked Signs deal with Habs
On April 28th, 2017, The Montreal Canadiens and CEM forward Antoine Waked agreed to terms on a three year, entry-level contract
Waked, 20, was a free agent forward who played the 2016-17 season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the QMJHL. Waked played 67 games in the 2016-17 season for the Huskies, scoring 39 goals and 41 assists, totaling to 80 points and led the Huskies to a second place finish. Waked ranked 5th in the QMJHL with a plus-41 differential. Waked also finished tied 9th in the league for goals scored, and 12th in points, making him a lethal weapon on the ice.
Waked, a Quebec native from St. Bruno, stands at 6’1” and nearly 200lbs and his big frame makes him a dangerous player to play against. Waked has great vision and speed and is an all-around 2-way player, who never backs down from a battle.
Congratulations Antoine on all the hard work and CEM can’t wait to see you in the Bleu Blanc et Rouge!
